Take a look at your countertop: how many bottles, nipples, pacifiers, collars, sippy cups, breast pump parts are there? Especially if you have twins or a baby and a toddler. It’s hard to even tidy up over and over, not to mention washing and sterilizing all things that can possibly get into contact with your little one’s precious mouth.

And those things are pretty much anything that fits (or doesn’t fit). She will unearth that teether she used to hate and mouth it, enjoying its secret allure now that it’s all covered in dust. He will pull out a grain of cereal from under the carpet. Or steal a squeaker from the dog to check if it shrank enough to fit his mouth.

And even though it’s fun and super cute watching them make acquaintance with the outer world, you will have to wash and disinfect all that stuff. Sure, washing a single pacifier or bottle doesn’t seem much of a time consumer. But scrubbing and cleaning the entire stockpile of baby accessories does take a lot of time. And just when you’re done washing and boiling everything, the baby is hungry again and it’s time to start anew.

Ugh! How many hours a week does it take? We live in an age of various gadgets and contraptions that are supposed to relieve us of most tiresome duties. But awesome though it is, your dishwasher won’t be of much use when it comes to baby stuff.

It will wash, but won’t deal with all the germs and bacteria that can harm the kiddo. Even if yours has a sterilizing option, the tiny stuff you put there can get cross-contaminated with food particles. Plus, it’s just too impractical to run the dishwasher just because a few bottles and a pacifier need cleaning.

And the list of activities goes on. After washing, you should sterilize the bottles, breast pump parts and pacifiers (as well as anything else that comes into your baby’s mouth) before every single use. Sterilizing won’t help either if you don’t dry the items immediately, since water and moist are perfect environments for germs.

Oddly enough, the market isn’t flooded with a variety of bottle washing systems. One of the more advanced bottle washers and sterilizers out there is Baby Brezza 4-in-1 Bottle Washer. Read on to see the features, as well as reasons why you should or should not consider getting one.

Baby Brezza Bottles Washer – Main Features

This portable, specialized dishwasher has four functions: it washes, rinses, sterilizes and dries. You can do all four things at once, or choose only one function. The washer will accommodate up to 4 bottles at once (any brand will fit). You can check some of our top picks for affordable baby bottles here. It also has a top rack for tiny stuff such as pump parts, pacifiers, teats, and even small toys.

After the washing is done, Baby Brezza Bottle Washer turns into a sterile storage rack where you can keep the items until next feeding time.

According to instructions, all you need to do is fill the water tank, place the bottles and other items, pour a bit of gel dishwashing detergent into the reservoir, choose the function you need and come back in 40 minutes to 2 hours. Washing only takes about 40 minutes. Washing and drying, without sterilizing, takes up to 1 hour 45 minutes, whereas the full cycle lasts 2 hours.

Note that you will have to install it on the countertop, since the drain hose should go into the sink.

Pros

  • There aren’t many products like this on the market. This machine saves tons of time since all you have to do is load the machine, start the process and go back to doing other things. The setup is fairly easy and user’s manual provides clear instructions.
  • The fact that it can handle four bottles at once makes it great for using in the evenings and get everything ready for the morning meal. That should be enough if you have one baby. Parents of twins, this machine probably won’t be able to satisfy your needs.
  • We also like the fact that functions are separate. You don’t always need to do the full cycle. Maybe a clean bottle just dropped to the floor and only needs sterilizing.

Cons

  • One of the most obvious problems is that this contraption takes up a lot of room on your precious countertop (which is probably crowded anyway). Due to its heaviness, you can’t just move it around the house. You will have to allocate that spot next to the sink and let the machine sit there for as long as you need it.
  • Most of the time, it isn’t very loud. But it tends to get really noisy when it drains the water from the tank – and that can be a huge issue if you live in a small place with thin walls. Next problem logically follows – since the full cycle takes a lot of time, you will probably find it most convenient to do it in the evening, after you put the little one to sleep. But noise waking an infant who’s barely asleep won’t be of much help, even though it takes care of the baby bottles.
  • It’s pretty expensive considering all the shortages.
  • Some customers report their Baby Brezza Bottle Washer stopped working a couple of months after first use. Whereas this might only be a coincidence or bad batch, these experiences are worth considering.

Our Two Cents (and Two Stars Out of Five)

When all taken into account, this is a much needed product, as all baby parents would agree. However, the idea could have been executed much better.
